FAQ
When a diner pays their check from the table QR, they pick a tip amount (0%, 10%, 15%, 20%, or custom). Bistro records the tip in your dashboard against the waiter assigned to that table at the time of payment. You can pay your waiters out however you normally do, cash, payroll, or transfer.
No. Tips arrive in your Stripe account along with the rest of the payment. Bistro tracks the tip total per waiter so you have an accurate record, but the actual payout to staff happens through your existing process.
In the dashboard, open Assignments and pick the date. For each table, choose a team member from the dropdown. You can clear or re-assign any table at any time.
Team management and tip tracking are included in Bistro Team ($49/month, up to 2 locations) and Bistro Multi ($89/month, up to 5 locations). Starter and Pro do not include team features.
Yes. Waiters sign in to the dashboard from any device. Their view shows the tables they're assigned to and their tip totals.
The diner can still pay. The tip is recorded against the table but without a waiter attribution for that one payment. You can re-attribute it manually in the dashboard later.
